WHAT IS THE YCCC (YC³) AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO ME?

 

We are the Yellowstone Conference Camping Committee and our job is to

connect YOU to a camp and retreat ministry in the Yellowstone conference

and aid local churches in many ways.

• If you are a camper. . we promote camps each year, publish registration material,

process camper registrations and provide camp scholarships for those who need financial

assistance.

• If you are a camp counselor. . we provide leadership material, process applications

and background checks.

• If you are a camp dean . . we provide leadership material, supply counselor lists &

process applications, aid in program building and grant supply budgets for your

camp.

• If you are a camp manager or board member . . we connect you to local churches and

UM agencies, provide leadership training opportunities, promotion, and aid you in

processing UMC camps registrations and payments.

• If you are a Yellowstone Conference Pastor, Lay Member or a part of a YC Agency

or Committee . . we connect you to camps that can provide space for respite and sabbatical

 leadership training housing, youth group conferences, young adult retreats,

church picnics and board training or leadership summits.

• If you are just interested in our camps . . we can connect you to a camp that will

feed your hunger for God, creation, solitude, silence, adventure and fun.

 

As you can see . . camp and retreat ministry is for ALL ages and ALL people.

It takes a lot of work to make sure camps are filled with caring

hands to maintain the camps, promote the camps and serve camps each

year. There are 20 positions in the YCCC filled with people who love

camping and retreat ministry: Youth, Young Adults, Lay Members, Clergy,

as well as experts in the fields of children ministry, youth ministry and
