Yellowstone Conference Announces Two New UMVIM Trips

You are invited to join the team to serve our sisters and brother through two new Yellowstone Conference United Methodist Volunteers In Mission trips. The first trip is June 21 through June 29 to rebuild the Lander WY UMC’s Care N Share Food Bank. The second trip is November 8 through November 16 for Hurricane Katrina to rebuild homes in New Orleans.

2008 Cooperative School of Christian Mission

The Yellowstone Annual Conference 2008 Cooperative School of Christian Mission, "Living the Sacred," is scheduled for July 30-Aug. 2, 2008, at Flathead Lake United Methodist Camp at Rollins, Mont. Three adult classes will be offered along with a class for youth, 7th through 12th grade, and another for kids 4+. For more information:

Professional Association of United Methodist Church Secretaries
Our Certification Institute is being held July 20 – 25, 2008. The registration fee for the 2008 Institute is $300.00*. This includes course materials, a continental breakfast Monday through Friday, a couple of lunches and dinners (Sunday & Thursday). Travel, room, additional meals and any other incidentals are the responsibility of each participant. Arrangements have been made with Emory University for air-conditioned dormitory rooms at $38.00* for singles, per day and $30.00* per person, per day for doubles.
*These rates are as of October, 2007.

If someone needs financial help we do have a limited amount of scholarships that cover the cost of the registration fee. We need to receive a written request explaining the need for the scholarship.
